Ken was requested to produce Role Descriptions for all the roles within the Business, he conducted a large number of interviews and delivered the Role Descriptions along with a mapping process in a highly effective manner. Ken also added significant value by conducting at the same time an employee survey, which identified a number of key operational risks and issues together with a number of key efficiency opportunites.

Finally Ken delivered a Training Needs Strategy which will provide the Business with a training governance, roadmap and crucial risks and skills gaps analysis, which will greatly aid in prioritising our training requirements to support our business objectives.

BBC (Digital Switchover Help Scheme)

I had the pleasure of working with Ken on the Digital Switchover Help Scheme at the BBC. The challenge here was to develop the Scheme over a short period ready for an anticipated increase in take up across 2011/12. Ken worked across the workstreams and was able to highlight risk areas within our strategy that required greater focus from a project management perspective. Ken was quickly able to add value by using his experience in operations and telecommunications to point us in the right direction.

Ken brought added value through the implementation of a robust Programme Governance which added visibility to both the BBC and its key supplier.

GSH/o2 Transition and Transformation

Recruited for his extensive knowledge in the telecommunications industry and latterly his role within o2 itself which gave GSH/Ericsson the added benefit of Ken knowing the o2 personalities he would be interfacing with regularly.

The transition period and specifically up to Service Commencement Date was a complete success through Ken’s tenacious approach even though he was faced with some very “challenging” moments in trying to ensure correct levels of support were delivered by those required to deliver the respective disciplines such as IT – including both hardware and software, new supplier requirements, vehicles, tools, TUPE transfers and everything else required for a smooth transition.

All this and of course trying to ensure he followed the GSH methodology and business approach was an immense challenge which Ken delivered on and made the Service commencement date with no drop in the high service levels o2 were accustomed to.
